My desktop is full of images (as usual) of home decorating inspirations and craft ideas.  My thinking is I’ll just save to my desktop because that is one place I’ll instantly be able to see favorite images.  Whereas if I save to a folder (I have WAY too many folders) then I have to spend the time searching through folders, or the images will get forgotten.  I also save to my desktop with the good intention of blogging about it.  But then I don’t blog about it.  And my desktop starts to pile up.  This drives my husband crazy.  Which makes ne sense to me because it’s not his laptop, so what does he care?  He’s an IT geek, so it’s in his nature I suppose.

Anyway I’ve had this mockup I did of a living room inspiration sitting there for a few days now.  I figure I can use my blog to categorize my inspirations and new found loves, i.e pillows.

I have always loved earth tones.  Simple and easy.  But lately I’m into color.  Bold, pretty colors.  I love the idea of having neutral pieces of furniture and then adding beautiful colors via accents pieces like vases, pillows, rugs, etc.  Like these pillows from Crate&Barrel:

They are a bit pricey for a pillow ($50 bucks for one pillow).  But I have no rationality when it comes to them.  I’m in love and must have them!  Look how awesome they look on a dark chocolate couch:

The only other piece I really want to tie this whole look together is this clock from Pier1:

You know, I’m really not sure what I love more.  The clock or the pillows.  The sad part about the clock is Pier1 does not offer online shopping or shipping :( :( :(

Really excited to tie this look together and have a pretty, yet child friendly living room.
