Without spilling too many beans, there is a change a comin’:
And here is one of my favorite parts of the new change.
Details to come in the next week or so. But I’ll just give little clues until I’m allowed to share
As part of the new change I am completely changing each and every room. It’s all justified really. All of our furniture is from Mr. Wright before we were married. We’ve moved around most of our marriage and haven’t lived in any one location for more than 1 1/2 years. So now that we are going to settle for a little bit and now that I’m not pregnant, or in school or working it is finally the perfect time for me to put all my effort into creating a beautiful and cozy home. I’m really excited to do some DIY projects and there are so many lovely and imspiring blogs with step by step tutorials that appear to be klutz and ditz proof. Yes, I’m a coconut. (for those unfamiliar with this term a coconut is someone who is brown or brunette on the outside, but blonde on the inside). My mom is blonde, so I have it in my genes. Can’t help it.
I already have ideas for the office and have now moved my focus to the bedroom. Here’s what I’m thinking:
As far as furniture selections goes I’m relatively limited given our location, so most things will come from Ikea. Which makes our bank account happy
Total cost for this room makeover (not including mattress) is slightly less than $1200 depending on how strong the dollar is at the time of purchase. I definitely am loving the idea of an all white, fluffy bed. Clean. Simple. Pretty. Poofy. Cloud like. And white. The one and only place in the house where white will stay white. I am smitten with the all white bedding from Pottery Barn. However I’m convinced I can probably find something similar for less. I plan on using that bedding as inspiration though.
My goal is to reupholster the headboard using a really cool fabric. The project could go either way really
And then depending on the season, pops of color for the throw pillows blanket. We have a chocolate brown rug, so will probably lay that down next to the bed.
Considering we sold our bedroom set last night, I’m really looking forward to getting a new bedroom put together soon

I love where you are going with your bed room. Its going to be so beautiful. I absolutely love the simplicity of the pieces and the way the ornate mirror balances everything, especially when you add the pops of color. You have great taste. I have a large oblong mirror similar to to one you chose in the pics and its by far of of my favorite things I own. And you can never go wrong with black and white photos…ever.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I promised myself I would try Tai Chi or yoga this week! Lol, thanks so much for letting me know am not the only one who self diagnose and I will definitely try yoga. Sounds amazing.
Fantastic! I can’t wait to see how it turns out
